Adoption Update
Technically nothing has really happened but I thought I would jot a few things down. China just matched another set of LIDs (Log In Dates) today. It looks like about 6 days of LIDs were matched and it has been just 27 days since the last match day on Sept 2. So matching twice in one month is a slightly good sign although I am not putting much stock in it.
The average number of LIDs that have been matched each 30 or so days over the past 18 months has been 6 so if they continue matching at that rate we will get our referral in September 2010. Two years from now. If they double the speed at which they are currently matching to 12 per 30 days then we could recieve a referral in October of 2009. Either way it is a long wait. A hard wait.
In the meantime, we are still deciding on whether or not we should start the process of working with a private attorney for a domestic adoption. The cost is significant and with the annoucenment today about the DOW plummeting and the rejection by the House of the bailout financial times are looking bleak which means that maybe we should hang on to our money. Part of me wants to just throw caution to the wind and just get a baby any way possible, the other part thinks that maybe we should just be conservative and plan for the worse. What would you do?
PS - Thank you ladies for all your comments on my last post!

I know what you mean about just throw the money and go for it! We've talked about just charging and going forth with IVF, but that silly little voice in my head keeps telling me its not a good idea... (darn conscience)...
CONTINUED prayers for you guys!
